Trail

Polperro
to Looe
Approximately
5 miles (8km)
National Trust scenic coastal walk. Medium degree of difficulty - steep in parts. An opportunity to explore the quaint fishing village of Polperro and enjoy great sea views all the way back to Looe.
Begin
by Bus
From Looe train station cross the road and go right in the direction of the
town centre. Before the road bridge and opposite the health centre you will
come across the bus stop where you will catch the bus to Polperro. If you
would like to get to Polperro by taxi, you can catch one just a little further
on opposite the bridge.
From
Polperro to Talland Bay
Follow the signs to the harbour down Talland Street and climb away from the
centre of Polperro with the harbour on your right. Follow the signs for the
footpath to Talland bay. After a while you will see views of Porthallow and
Talland Bay. The path leads down to a tarmac lane, go right, and where the
road bends left, keep ahead bearing right down to the cove. The road leads
up past public toilets, go beyond these and go right, into the car park and
bear left up the coastal path.
Follow this well-worn route all the way back to West Looe. Cross the main road bridge over the river to East Looe, turning left once over the bridge, returning to Looe station.
