Causeland
to Sandplace
by
way of Duloe - approximately 4 miles (6.5km)
Begins with a fairly steep climb by road but easy thereafter. Visit the Standing Stone Circle which dates back to the Bronze Age, the 13th century church and 18th century pub in Duloe.
To
Duloe
From Causeland station turn left and go right opposite Badham Farm. Continue
up the lane bearing left. This will lead you to Duloe (go left at the junction).
Alternatively, as you near Duloe there is a footpath on the left which takes
you across a field, cutting out some road walking, but it is not well marked.
If taking this route, walk diagonally across the field to the far right hand
corner. Exit via a gateway into the next field and then right through the
gateway by the village hall. Once on the main road go left, passing Ye Olde
Plough House Inn, the pathway to Duloe stone circle and the church on the
right.

Tredinnick,
Treworgey to Sandplace
Sandplace, so called because sea sand was brought and stored there for its
lime content. Continuing on the right hand side of the road, where it bends left out of
the village, go straight ahead to the small settlement of Tredinnick. Pass
through Tredinnick and the entrance to Tredinnick farm, but take your next
left along a narrow track past a couple of houses. After a short distance
go right and head down the track to meet a minor road. Go left here and pass
through Treworgey. Continue down this road road to Sandplace, over the rail
bridge and to the station on the right. Or, after turning right, cross the
road and go left down a minor road to join a lane by the railway. Go right at the next junction, over the rail bridge and take the lower fork
for Sandplace.
